Amrita Thapar was crowned Miss India Universe 2005 at a glittering function in Mumbai.

Amrita Thapar is from Pune. She is Winner of May Queen 1999. 1st Runners Up at RSI club 99. 1st Runners Up at Poona club 99. Summer Queen winner at Residency Club 99. ALBUMS: Lead role in Pankaj Udhas's "Jaaneman".

Lead vocals in Malkit Singh's song "Kudi Patole Vargi". Ramp shows in Pune at Holiday Inn, Poona Club with Various designers.
