Her father is a businessman and her mother a housewife.Kim Sharma was born in Ahmednagar ,Maharashtra on January 21, 1980.She did her schooling from a boarding school in Panchgani. After that she returned to her hometown and joined a junior college but hated her college.
'Having studied in a boarding school, where most of the girls were from aboard, living and studying in Ahmednagar came as a culture shock', quips Kim. So while in her twelfth, she decided to call it quits and later joined a junior college in Ahmednagar.
Kim Sharma first started her career with modelling, she is also the brand ambassador of Olay in India.

She was also dating Indian Cricketer Yuvraj Singh, but now they have parted ways. Kim Sharma cousin is the actor, Arjun Rampal.She loves to travel , read fiction and shopping.Kim Sharma has lately been in appearing in a number of stage performances at several events and award ceremonies. She was also seen in the 2009 release ‘Marega Saala’ based on an intricate web of Love, Lust, and Doom.
